I had the same problem when I had to write on blackboards in high school. Getting white chalk on the sleeve was not exactly fun.
Oh it's pretty interesting. I have never thought about the problems with right-to-left languages. Chinese was supposed to be written vertically, from right to left originally- and then it got 'westernized' and 'right-handized'...
I know a couple of people whose languages are right-to-left, like Hebrew (correct me if I'm wrong) but none of them are left handed... I should ask them if they have any lefty friends.
