No booty while you're on it, and you can take it during your cycle if you have to. Do the full 7 days.
I've found that UTI's can feed into yeasties, and UTI's are almost always caused by not peeing after sex (or condoms, both in my case). It could definitely be an allergic reaction to something...
But more than likely, your poor cooter is just exhausted. Give her a break. Make him go pee in a cup to make sure he's not reinfecting you with yeast.
