Don't bet on it. There's been a recent history of recasting white fictional characters as blacks. Remember The Honeymooners movie? And in Daredevil, the Kingpin was a black guy.
I must admit I would be a bit shocked myself about a black santa. I could make many a joke here, but I'll refrain out of good taste.
