Best post I've seen on this thread. People aren't proving shit by abstaining on Black Friday and then going to the mall the next day to buy some $200 pair of jeans or $80 on a shirt with the 'right' label. The overprices goods don't last longer (in fact if you keep up with the trends it only lasts a season, if that at all) and with a little looking you can find items so similar the only way you can tell the difference is if you take it off and look at the tag but for some reason the shit costs 10% of the price of the designer shit.
It only makes sense to make the expensive purchase when quality is such an issue that it cannot be replaced by a generic.
