Oh boy.
Here's the article:
Quote:
Someone once said that a small lie is easy to uncover, but a big lie is harder because people in their everyday life may lie small. Yet they would not believe that someone would tell a big lie, so if told one they are more likely to believe it. So it is also today, we may watch MTV or BET or VH1 and see the sex, drugs and excesses and think that their portrayal are real. We watch Hollywood movies and think that life has no consequences. We see all of this and while no actual lie is told, the way sin is glamorized gives the impression that it is all fun and has no consequences. This is The Big Lie.
Yet obviously the masses are buying it because look at the fashion trends. Wasn't it Brittany Spears who started the stomach showing "look." She said it was because it is hot in Louisiana. Or was it Christina Agulara who glamorized being trampy in her video "Dirty?" Maybe it was rapper 50 cent who glamorized being a gangster. Yet bullets kill and immoral outside of marriage sex kills too. Or you get pregnant before marriage and it ruins your life. Each music video and each movie may be small lies, yet add them all together and it is like 100 people smoking in a room and you wonder "who is making the air all smoky?" As it is the immoral Hollywood MTV culture is like cigarettes pulluting the air we breathe. The same air we are existing in. Turn the channel they tell us, yet what if the other guy does not? We find out that we are all connected in this world. Rapes, murders and thefts are affecting everyone and it is a lot of the media that is putting the ideas through the air into our brains.
The Big Lie is now not seen. For if we did see it we would call it a lie and move on. Yet can we even tell the truth from a lie? Or has a culture bent on sin of all types as entertainment bound to eventually stop entertaining? There is nothing entertaining about the consequences of sin. So what to do then? Well fight back by choosing your entertainment choices wisely. 50 Cents albums are not even worth 50 cents due to the depravity contained on them. Don't buy them and he will stop selling it. Brittany Spears is mainly selling out her morals because we buy her product. Don't buy it and she will stop selling it. Defeat The Big Lie with a simple truth. Sin is corruptive and dangerous and you must say no. Perhaps then we will stop buying The Big Lie.
