I think anybody who believes these provisions should be a
permanent part of America is not qualified to hold any public office. And that starts with the President, who wants the entire thing set in stone for all time.
With the current drop in approval ratings, and Congress' demonstrated distrust and cold-shouldering of bush, I think the chances are better than they ever have been that these provisions will be eventually dropped.
