I imagine that once House and his team get involved either because of the patient's importance or the oddity of their condition, payment ceases to be a problem. I also imagine, again considering the patient's importance or the oddity of the condition, the doctors would want or have to perform the tests themselves.
BTW, that is pretty cool that the hospital has public internet terminals... Just be sure to double check the bill, no? I mean, it is a hospital.
