This reminds me of another one I used to believe. I believed that vampires would come around outside your windows at night(since they could fly) and look for people to suck the blood from. However, I knew vampires only sucked blood from peoples necks. Thus, if I covered up all the way to my chin so they couldn't see my neck, they would just leave me alone. Hafta love the logic of a seven year old. To this day I cannot sleep without a cover of some sort on up to my neck, it just doesn't feel right.
