Find a place the will hire you for free. I realize the school expects them to pay you. Just explain the situation and have them pay you and you sign the cheque back to them immediately.
On paper it will appear that they are paying you and the school will be satisfied.
The company will get a free employee and you will get your credits.
I hope Loverboy is doing alright with his Mom.
