I certainly don't care what kind of vehicle a person drives (even if it's *gasp* an SUV). But I do care about the maintenance and cleanliness. Cannot stand a stinky car, don't care for messy/untidy.
Just like clothing, I guess. I don't care if someone shops at Nordstroms or the Goodwill, as long what they wear is clean and well-fitting.
