its really a shame the minidisc didnt catch on i think. they hold 5 hours worth of music, the discs dont get scratched very easily and the players were fairly durable.
only problem besides the sonicstage though was the finickyness (that even a word?) of when the disc was being written on and any number of things could fuck up the disc for good.
