The internet you can be whomever you want to be... the truth is not always in front of your face... and the anonynimity makes people a lot bolder than they would be in real life.
I haven't played in an AOL chatroom in years because I need the brain cells that I have... but one of the last times I did.. when I entered as myself-- a late 30s single female, I wasn't interesting to anyone.. so when I became.. a 17 year old curious nymphette. who I all I did was say hello and bat my eyelashes -- i could't keep up with the barrage if private messages I got.

I know it's not new......but it shocked me the forwardness of some of the men, and as mentioned earlier, the guy who did it two days in a row, after being caught the first time!!!
Every guy claimed "this is the first time I've done something like this". Several said "I wasn't REALLY going to have sex with them". A few said "I'm getting help for this, I'm seeing a psychiatrist for it....". It was sad really. As is the experience you had. :\
