White noise machines
Has anyone here ever used a white noise machine, and if so, do they work?
I am a light sleeper. I usually turn a fan on when I go to sleep, because it drowns out the noise my husband makes when he comes home from work; it would normally wake me up if the fan wasn't on. I have a hard time sleeping if I can hear traffic noise and whatnot as well. However, during the winter, the fan dries my nasal passages out and it's very uncomfortable. I need some sort of solution, and I'm either going to have to buy a humidifier for the room and continue using the fan, or else a white noise machine or something. I don't know anything about them though...any advice or suggestions?
