I have run into a lot of people where that was the case...so they trick or treated as teens/college students because they finally could. However, I find that in that case, most of them then proceed to go all out to dress up and be Halloween-y. I've always advised those folks to also try and find a small child to take with them--people are more sympathetic to older trick or treaters when they have kids with them
