When you think about it in terms of other things it is not too bad. The classic example is a movie. Provided you are not going to see lord of the rings type blockbuster (3hrs) most movies are a default 90mins. Now, i am not sure about America, but ticket prices in australia are about $11 for students and up to $15 for adults!
Via google, apparently 1 australia dollar is 0.75 american dollars. therefore movies must be around 8 to 12 dollars. that means it's about 5-6 dollars per hour of entertainment. Taken into account, a 50 dollar game played for ten hours or so, roughly works out to a similar price. So it's not too bad?
