The problem I have with paying so much for games is that the replay value is minimal on most games, and the singleplayer experience takes so little time to get through. I haven't played FEAR myself yet, but some people have reported beating it (playing normally, not rushing) in as few as 8 or 9 hours. I could rent 4 or 5 movies from Blockbuster and pay less money. I miss the old days of spending 30+ hours of play on a singleplayer campaign - those were worth the money. Nowdays, I refuse to spend more than 30$ on a video game if I know it's short.
