Went to the dentist...
I had to go the the dentist monday to get some cavities filled. I had cavities on both sides of my mouth. Well after the novicane wore off my upper left lip hurt like hell and tasted like blood. I noticed there was a thin layer of white stuff on that side of the lip (the other side did not have this problem). At first I assumed it must be something left over from the numbing agent. Today the pain was really bad so I went and took a closer look and pealed away the white layer. Then I realized what the white layer was, it was the outer layer of the inner skin in the lip. Is this a natural reaction or did they leave some sort of acid in my mouth that is eating at the skin? Tomorrow i'm thinking about going in and talk to them and see what they think it is. Is this something common? Do I need to seek care or will it heal on its own?
