I just asked my wife again what's the deal with girls and horses and she said something quite similar to this...
It's a huge, powerful beast and yet, it's friendly. I think the motocycle analogy isn't too far off for some riders. The speed and power... but also the grace and gentility.
She was an eventer so she would have to be able to go fast and reckless around a cross country course but also be able to do the graceful forms of dressage...
