D'oh.

"Green and Gray" is good. I need the solid beat of "Speak" though. G&G is more like traditional Americana.

"Young" is also another good song from that CD. Chris Thile was dating a 16 year old girl when he was 19. He wrote another song about that on "Deceiver" about how the girl's father was thought he was such a nice boy and how guilty he felt for thinking dirty thoughts and kissing his daughter. "The Wrong Idea".

They're married now. I talked to him about 7 months ago, he came across as a goofy, shy kid. I wanted to say, "DON'T get married. You're going to be hit on more an entire town of guys. Girls will want to do anything with you."

I think the Apocalypse is happening all around us. We go on eating desserts and watching TV. I know I do. I wish we were more capable of sustained passion and sustained resistance. We should be screaming and what we do is gossip. -Lydia Millet
