I am so fucking creeped out right now
My girlfriend sees things like you have mentioned, I think she has a stronger connection to the spirit world than most people do. She hasn't talked to me about it for a while though, but I do know she sees shadows like you have mentioned.
However, I tend to catch onto things like this occasionally. This morning for example, after staying up all night I got up and went outside - it was very foggy, dark, and damp, but I had to catch a bus. The sun hadn't even considered rising yet, so I walked through this foggy darkness with all kinds of optical illusions playing tricks on my eyes for a mile to the bus stop. I swore I felt something staring at me, and once.. anyway I kept turning around expecting to see something like the red eyes of El Chupacabra coming to get me. But I was experiencing full-fledged screaming fear until I finally got to a lit area of the street where I felt safe.
Of course it is all ridiculous once you get to the university or wherever, but .. man.
Now I don't know if I can go to sleep.
