I think you guys are probably overestimating the seriousness of this.
It may very well be a change in his body chemistry is causing his plumbing to work differently, but I really doubt it's an STD of any kind. What he is describing fits no known STD, as pertains to a man's symptoms.
Women on the other hand should definetly investigate any strange secretions : p
