Poppinjay - if you go into the User CP at the top of the page, you need to go to :
Edit Options:
Scroll down to the Day/Time Options, then select the correct time zone for your area. That should take care of your issue.
2quillmadness, referrals appear when someone else registers with the forum and gives your name as the person who led them here at that time. As far as it having telling anything more than the number of people who put your line in the blank when they registered, I'm not aware of anything.
