Swelling in the mouth and face is a common allergic reaction and can progress into anaphlactic shock at a moments notice.
On the other hand - do have any steroids that you ever take or steroid inhaler for any reason? One thought is Thrush. I had it twice. It's basically yeast/fungus that manages to get a foothold in your mouth. Eating yogurt helps relieve some of the symptoms but won't get rid of them without treatment. In the past the Dr has given me anise losenges with antifungal medication in them. They don't taste too bad if you don't mine black licorice and they get rid of it pretty quickly.
Either way you should see a Dr if this isn't gone by now.
I am curious what the outcome is/will be. Let us know.
