So we're going to be having a party and I want to have more than my 2.1s driving the music in one area.

Question is, is it plausable to split the 1/8" connection and run that wiring in two directions comin from the laptop with the music on it to two separate 2.1 speaker setups? will there be a loss in quality? note that both sets of speakers are power amplified.
