well, we went.....three of us, including me.....here is the story.
We all met at our office, right down the road from the cemetery. We took some pics around the office as "control" photos to make sure that the lenses were clear. All was well, so off we went.
The night was devoid of any moonlight. If you look at a moon phase calendar, you'll note that the new moon occurred Monday, Oct. 3rd. So the night was about as black as it could be. There was very little light from the houses in the development across the road, Tanglewood, and there was no light from the sides or back of the cemetery. The only light that shown into the cemetery was from the very occassional passing car. We were careful to mute the flashlights and take a break in our picture taking when cars passed by.
We parked across the street from the cemetery and we all hopped the wall at the far end away from the gate. We were very anxious to check the place out. The first place I went was to the back corner where there is a missing section of rock wall. One of my friends was very close by and I got some remarkable pics of him surrounded by orbs. BTW-I used to think the orb thing was utter BS, but no...it's not. It was at this time that he felt like his muscle under his right arm was being grabbed by something. He turned to leave and I snapped a pic of him, again, he was surrounded by orbs. He did not return to that corner again.
I walked along the back wall and while I did I could hear voices getting closer and then they just stopped. Not sure if it was a TV or real people's voices just carrying in the clear night air, but only two of us heard them and we weren't that far apart, and the voices were loud enough to hear clearly so we all should have heard them.
I was getting more and more nauseous as I walked the back wall and had an incredible feeling of dread. I wanted to get the hell out of there because something felt wrong. I turned to walk back up to the front wall and leave, but instead I went over to where one of the other guys was sitting on the ground. As I moved closer to him I felt something tracking my movement through the cemetery. I heard foot steps in the grass and decided it was time to go. Rather than hopping the wall again and risking a broken ankle, I decided to go out the front gate. As I moved quickly along the front wall I heard the movement again, but saw nothing nearby. As I got closer to the gate of the cemetery I noticed a shadow on a headstone (and no, it wasn't my shadow). I had stopped to look at it and then it just disappeared. I took off like a shot.
My friend who had been sitting down had also heard footsteps on the other side from where I was. He shined the flashlight in that direction, but saw nothing. He said he felt something pushing on his chest and that was it for him. He vaulted the wall like a freakin' world class hurdler and met me in the street. Both of us had forgotten about the other poor bastard until he came running out too. Though he never said why he left so quickly, probably spooked to be there alone.
Anyway, I must say, I was sufficiently terrified...yes, terrified. Scared is a different feeling. Scared is what you get when you go on a roller coaster, you think that you're going to die, but deep down you know you're safe. Terrified is when shit is happening to you that you can't explain and you have no control over what is going on.
I will post the pics soon, I just need time to recover....we're going back in two weeks on a full moon.
