We have a gorgeous silk bedspread and pillowcases that are dry-clean only. However, due to ratbastid's penchant for facials, they've become somewhat stained. (Aiming doesn't appear to be one of the things he's good at
) I most certainly don't want to take them to a dry cleaner. I'm sure they've seen everything, but really, "can you get these jizz stains out of my pillowcases?" is not a conversation I want to have with a stranger. My question is, can I hand wash these in water or something? What'll happen if I just throw them in the washer on delicate? If I get them wet can I dry them in the dryer, or will they have to drip dry? I need to wash the bedspread too. It's not quite as bad as the pillowcases, but it does have a few semen spots on it, and a big spot where the cat puked on it. Very romantic.
Any advice, fabric mavens?
