I think I was twelve. There's a way to do it without showing any naughty bits. You step into the swimsuit without taking off your panties first, then remove the bra from under the t-shirt (alternatively remove the bra after the swimsuit is on) and slip your arms inside the t-shirt and pull up the shoulder straps. Then (this is the tricky bit) pull one side of the panties down and pull the leg out, pull the panties to the other side and take them off.
You'll look like Mr. Bean, but it works.
