Yeah, I worked cellblocks, pods, & tanks long enough.... transport is so much better. because we're outside a secure compound it can be more dangerous, but we have safeguards in place - and the typical inmate is glad to take a ride, whether for a regular transfer, medical appt, etc. What I like is it is a boarded position, and the average CO couldn't either can't make the grade, or doesn't have a CDL.....and my co workers are a much higher caliber than on the typical unit.
You on the other hand have the stressful job I would think. I don't think I have the patience to be nice when someone is chewing on my ass, like I know some people who call for support do.
