I'm looking for a CD/DVD burning application which is super easy to use. I've got normal users who are used as automatons to backup data onto DVD media. I'd like to find a burning app which doesn't present them with a million options when all they need is a non-multisession data disc.
This is what my ideal application should do:
- Burn data discs only
- Drag and drop or easy to use Browse button
- Auto select (or pre-select) the burner of choice
- Clicking the Burn button starts the burn (not bringing you to a screen with a dozen other options)
- No options to select (ie: don't want to be prompted for ISO or Joliet options, no prompting for multi-session, etc.) or those options are hidden in another place or config file
Nero has their StartSmart app which is a nice wizard but it could have fewer selections still. I haven't played around with the latest version of Roxio so I don't know how their wizard might compare.
One other feature would be ideal... Ability to drag a folder into the app and it sorts out the folders/files to optimally fill the empty space on each disc being burned. I don't want to use a tar file or spanned zip.
