I don't see a problem with killing spiders. There are quite a few spiders that come around and once they are discovered, they die. Thankfully most of the spiders here are not poisonous or get very big. The one is Coaster's pic is bigger than any I've ever seen in my area.
Basically, if you don't like them, squish them.
