I've been over the thread twice and have seen no mention of him not writing his own speeches or criticizing the methods of delivery.....maybe I'm just not seeing it....
As for the carrier speech...I think what most of us was trying to get across wasn't the act of giving the speech on the carrier, but rather the airshow we got to watch beforehand, where our Commander-in-Chief top gunned it out to the U.S.S. Lincoln in a super cool jet.
