silk is slippery and gets wrinkled really easily so it looks like crap after one night. PLus some need to be dry cleaned, and if they don't get dry cleaned, do you seriously want to be ironing sheets?
High thread count cotton sheets, fredweena's described 'em right, it's a softness that just feels good and feels silky.
