I'm pretty compulsive about finishing books. I can only think of two books that I read the first 50-100 pages, then stopped (Bonfire of the Vanities, and Ulysses).
I see so few movies, and pick them so carefully, that it doesn't tend to be a problem.
I walked out of one regional theatre company production at the intermission.
