I don't think that's necessarily true. A simple framework table can save a bunch of CSS coding sometimes. In my opinion, CSS-based absolute positioning should be avoided, as it eliminates a lot of the browser's ability to degrade gracefully.

There is a way to have an element have more than one class, and it's simpler than you think. I leave it to you and google to figure it out. Teach a man to fish, right?
