Yes - of course we are exempt from this
it's what makes us different from all of those creatures. When was the last time you saw animals such as these build a city, invent farming, form governments, create technology and pay taxes?
It's precisely BECAUSE we are able to step beyond simple stimulus/response behaviours that we are able to have this discussion today.
