I sent a necklace to my girlfriend last Christmas that never got there. I bought a replacement and gave it to her in person the next time I saw her. I still have a mental image of some postal worker/border guard's wife getting a really nice necklace for Christmas.
And that link reminds me of the guy who started signing crazy things for his credit card purchases. I don't remember the url and can't be arsed to look it up, but maybe someone else will remember.
