I hear good things about their laptops and peripherals both. I don't buy OEM computers and discourage friends and family from doing the same by pointing out that I can put one together that does more for less money, but I'd suppose they serve a purpose.
Just pointing out too that the fifteen minutes you spent troubleshooting was necessary, because for every customer with a legitimate issue someone calls up with a paper jam and says 'my printer is broken, send me a new one.' Having experience working on helpdesks, I know for a fact that there are a lot of idiots out there.
