hunter valley outside of sydney is also great wine area - and has some beautiful vineyards....
if you do nothing else in Sydney -- do the Bridge climb... the views you get are stunning.... and the Taronga Zoo in sydney (accessible by ferry) is also great - -you take a cable car thingie to the top and work your way down - the giraffe area has some spectacular views of sydney harbour.
