You shouldn't be. A lot of people have, and want, just one cat. Our local Petsmart hosts a cat adoption service (in cooperation with an animal rescue group), and the info listed on each cat's cage indicates whether or not the cat gets along with other cats. Some are clearly marked "does not get along." And yet those cats are adopted.
So buck up. Odds are very good that your cats are going home with somebody.
