That'll be a nice system but for video production, disk io and memory are what counts. I'd want at miminum 1GB, even dropping a notch in processor performance if money were tight.
If you add another 512MB DIMM you should choose a different pair. That Value Select stick is specifically excluded from Asus' qualified dual channel list.
