I'm wondering about this too. I actually had to read the article three times to confirm that I was actually reading the fact that the children had to be rescued twice. Once from their home, and once from .. a shelter?
Seems kind of odd to me, but the situation probably was chaotic. I'd guess the helo just dumped it's passengers and took off and the kids slipped through the attention of the receiving aid workers
