I was watching some show about robots maybe two or three months ago, and they mentioned this too. They showed some robots with eerily human-like faces, which looked creepy as hell, and then some funnier-looking robot, which was much more pleasant to look at. And they also mentioned this factor that you talked about. Interesting stuff.
