The "more girls are attracted to me when I wear axe" effect is probably just because....it's nice when someone smells good. It makes you want to be closer to them and stay closer to them. If someone's at a concert and wants to grab a guy to dance with, why not grab the one that smells nice?
Personally though, I really don't like the smell of axe. Maybe it's just certain scents they make or whatever...but I always detect this underlying smell to it that just...repulses me. I probably wouldn't even notice it, but for a year, this guy who worked with me wore WAYY too much of it every day. I think he must have gone through a bottle of that stuff a week...if not sooner.
Perhaps that just made me more sensitive to the subtleties of axe...but...meh.
It's not enough to make me run away from a guy who's wearing it. A hot guy is a hot guy, whether he smells slightly of B.O. or slightly of a scent I would rather not smell. But...I probably wouldn't be all that comfterble cuddling with a guy wearing axe. The smell just...doesn't sit right with me.
Then again, different girls will be attracted to different smells and different scents will mix with the oils on people's skins in different ways. If it seems to work for you, by all means, keep using it. I, however, prefer a guy wearing a real cologne....or at least someone who manages to wash their clothes somewhat often. I love the smell of a nice, fresh shirt on a guy
