He said he wanted to MAKE music. Not get different clips of music made by other people and patch them together. If you're MAKING music, then you're doing original compositions, in which case Finale is the one you want.
If you're just mixing crap together, Acid is where to go 'cause it's cheap and a lot more powerful than people think.
