I'll keep that in mind. I'll bust out some Scott Ian style mashings (maybe even some Scott Ian facial hair). The ladies will be extremely impressed and I'll be sure to have panties all over the stage by the end.

Oh yes. This, my friend, is definitely a fact. For me atleast. I find that men who play tend to be more sensitive. Most of my guy friends play. All of those who do are sensitive. Then take my (((1))) guy friend who doesn't. He says playing the guitar is for little pussy boys. Music provides peace, comfort, FUN!!!, and so much more. So, for you to take the time to learn how to play, to me, makes it seem as though your reasoning behind learning is to provide comfort to somebody else, or yourself. Or entertainment.. or whatever the reason may be. Actually, can I ask why you started playing - tspikes51

First off, I started playing years ago because I thought it would be a fun thing to do. Actually playing the guitar for me is not only an instrument in itself, but a way to accompany singing. I agree that music provide all of those things that you mentioned above, and I am quite content with having those come from playing without anything else. I am often described as "sensitive" (I still think that women use that word to describe A) a guy who doesn't exist or B) a quality that they would enjoy in a guy, but for some reason makes him unattractive. Sensitivity has to be deeply buried, even in the most confident of men.) Nevertheless, I believe that most chicks between 18 and 26 look for a guy who will treat them like shit and nail their brains out (to paraphrase Maddox). Contrary to my avatar, I'm not a douchebag like that, so I try and get mine the honest way: good old-fashioned being nice and treating the women who deserve it with respect. Ah, the woes of the polite college kid. I've tried the being an asshole thing once or twice, but stopped after feeling like shit. But I digress. Playing guitar hasn't done a damn thing for me in the ladies department, and many claim that it's supposed to (even if only on occasion), so I'm just trying to disspell some of the bullshit.
