Not really. Gas is forecasted to rise to $4.00 and up per gallon. That's more than double what it was this time last year. The country's economy can't sustain that - I know my employer won't up my salary to compensate and I'm pretty sure yours won't either. If that keeps up too long it could have HUGE impacts on the economy - It could fling us into a depression, which will bring misery to the whole country, and also more misery to those in NO as money to rescue and rebuild is no longer available.
