Its also possible you are getting one side of the story designed to make Bush and Co. look bad as usual. What paper was this from again? You gotta take everything from the NYT's with a big helping of salt. Since my guess is the Army can not give details exactly why someone was demoted due to privacy issues (and I"m not sure how it works in the Army) you have to take the NYT"s spin as the reason for here demotion.
Refering to her as a " Known as a stickler for the rules on competition" and then saying she had "stellar performance ratings", all came from HER lawyer after all.
