agreed - at that point it's more like interactive erotica - and providing your talking to someone you know as well (rather than the equivelent of a one-night-stand) then the imagery that you can congure between you can be incredibly intense and 'fine tuned' to your exact tastes.
I also think it's one of the few things that are necessary if you're in an long distance relationship and one of you has a high sex drive. At that point I think it's more about feeling 'sexy' and knowing you get the other person off.
