By the time I got done reading that article I had forgotten about your initial comment.
I absolutely love the fact the so many things are readily available to use and buy. I am strongly pro-capitalism. The buy buy buy mentallity is something else. Buying doesn't = equal happiness to me. The people in this article don't make that distinction. In other threads (and correct me if I'm wrong), Art, you've made the point you think that the messages such as those we see all over everyday like on TV really play a big part in shaping us. I like to think I'm smarter than that. Hell, I don't have a T.V. even though I could easily afford one.
