I'm not sure since I only talked to the driver a couple of days later to get the insurance info I needed. I didn't want to get into a confrontation and maybe screw up my chances of getting compensated for injuries and totaled bike.
Visibility might have been a problem as people have a habit of not seeing bikes and motorcycles. It might have been that I was moving faster then the driver thought I was moving since most people have a hard time believing bikes can cruise at 20-30mph.
I try to make myself visible by wearing bright colors. It doesn't seem to help. More than once I've been riding, hearing skidding tires behind me and thinking that I was really going to get it.
